about
The brand new single of shameless idolatry and worship - 'Kings of Speed!'
Written by Dave and Fox in one alcohol-fueled night two days after Lemmy passed away, the track has remained in the vaults for over two years, as we struggled to write lyrics that we truly felt did the song - and what it stands for - justice. However, thanks to a helping hand from Simon Cobb from UK thrashers Anihilated, we've finally managed to finish it off; 'Kings of Speed' is Nefasturris' tip of the hat to Motörhead's legacy in memory of Wurzel, Lemmy, Phil, and Eddie.
All proceeds from this single will go to the Ronnie James Dio Cancer Fund.
lyrics
Straight up heart attack, killing every show
Hear that damn bass thunder, feel the tension grow
Raise your fist, throw the horns, burnt into your soul
When the bass drums batter you, that feeling never goes
They were the Kings of Speed, they owned that fucking stage
Take no shit, no prisoners, I want another taste
Here comes the Overkill, the men all dressed in black
Flying on the Bomber, the Iron Fist attack
Playing with the Ace of Spades, lay the ante down
It's just Another Perfect Day with Motörhead in town
Sonic declaration, never let us down
Snaggletooth of fury, never gonna frown
Raise your fist, throw the horns, remember them with pride
When the bass drums batter you, you know they'll never die
They were the Kings of Speed, they owned that fucking stage
Take no shit, no prisoners, I want another taste
Riding on the Mean Machine, Orgasmatron abounds
We may all just be Bastards, Don't Let That Grind Ya Down.
My Iron Horse is Born to Lose, but these guys Lived to Win
They will never truly die while we have the breath to sing
